SARA: AFTER THREE DEATHS AND DOZENS OF CORONAVIRUS CASES AT ELKHORN LIFE CARE CENTER, SOME FAMILIES SAY ENOUGH, IT’S ENOUGH. >> HONESTLY, WE’RE THINKING OF MOVING IT TO THIS POINT. SARAH: KRISTOPHER SAYS HIS MOM TESTED POSITIVE 10 DAYS AGO. HE SAYS SHE WENT TO THE HOSPITAL THE NEXT DAY AND WAS DIAGNOSED OF PNEUMONIA. NOW, SHE IS BACK TO THE LIFE CARE CENTER. >> ON JUST FEAR, THERE WILL BE A RECOVERY AND IT WILL FINISH BACK AT THE HOSPITAL OR THE WORST. SARAH: HE SAYS THAT HE WANTS THE FACILITIES TO BE HONEST IN TREND AND ASK FOR HELP IF NECESSARY. >> Obviously, what they’re doing now isn’t working, so something has to happen to protect the people there. SARAH: ANOTHER FAMILY AGREEMENT. VICKI SAYS HER MOTHER IN LAW DOESN’T GET THE CARE SHE NEEDS AND IS SHOWER FREE FOR TWO WEEKS. >> THIS IS RIDICULOUS. I SAY IT – YOU NEED TO HELP. SARAH: SHE WANTS THE RESIDENTS TO MOVE TO MIDLANDS HOSPITAL, A SUGGESTION PROPOSED BY THE COUNTY HEALTH DEPARTMENT. THE BEST POSSIBLE SOLUTION IS TO TAKE THE MIDLANDS ON WHAT THEY SAID, TO MAKE THEM O OVER THEY CAN BE CARED FOR WHILE THEY CLEAN, PLACE AND GET THEIR HEALTHY STAFF. SARAH: THE CHAIRMAN OF THE HEALTH COUNCIL, CHRIS RODGERS, SAYS THAT THIS OFFERING STILL REMAINS. BUT NOW, HE SAYS THAT THE SITUATION HAS CLIMBED, AFTER HEALTH CARE AND THE PLACES OF COMMISSIONERS WERE FLOODED WITH CALLS ON THE INSTALLATION. >> I KNOW DR. TO MAKE AN OFFICIAL LIAISON FOR THEM TO COME AND LOOK AT THEM AND I CALLED A HIGH LEVEL OFFICIAL EXPLAINING THE CALLS AND THE SITUATION. SARAH: THESE TWO AND COMMISSIONER MARY ANN BORGESON ALL ASKED THE STATE TO WATCH THE INSTALLATION. >> THIS IS CONCERNING BECAUSE EVERYONE CATS AND I DON’T KNOW THAT THERE WERE ENOUGH SHARED INFORMATION TO GIVE COMFORT AND ASSURANCE. SARAH: THE EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR OF LIFE CARE SAYS THE STAFF IS NOT A PROBLEM AND THEY HAVE NO PLAN TO MOVE THE RESIDENTS. AN ANC INSIDE THE INSTALLATION SAYS THAT THE STAFF WORK HARD, CLEANING AND THE FOLLOWING PROCEDURES. >> IT’S NOT THE RESIDENT’S FAULT. IT IS NOT THE FAULT OF THE INSTALLATION.
