Despite broadcasts throughout the coronavirus pandemic that brought the world of sport to its knees, WWE continues to bleed money and had no choice but to let go of various members .
The sport has been named a “must have business” in the state of Florida this week and, therefore, will continue to broadcast in the coming weeks, but it will be without some of its best names for the foreseeable future.
Kurt Angle was among the biggest names in getting the ax, joining the likes of Drake Maverick, Curt Hawkins, Luke Gallows, Karl Anderson, EC3, Eric Young, Heath Slater and Lio Rush.
It was a really dark day for wrestling, as everyone involved in the sport reacted to the shocking but somewhat expected news.
Now, superstar AJ Styles, who is known to be close friends of the aforementioned Gallows and Anderson, has gone to Twitter to share her thoughts on WWE’s dramatic week.
Speaking on a broadcast from his home, Styles had this to say:
“As you know, Gallows and Anderson, guys who were like my brothers, were released yesterday. “
The visibly emotional styles then continued.
“This one really hurts. The only way I can explain is that these guys are my family and I couldn’t take care of my little brothers. I failed to do so and I feel responsible for their release. “

Styles then went through the long list of wrestlers who had been shown the door as he lamented one of the most difficult weeks in WWE history.
“This stuff is expected with everything that is going on but I am as shocked as you are with some of the guys who have been released,” he concluded.
After the unexpected success of WrestleMania behind closed doors, the world of WWE has certainly come back crashing down on earth with a resounding noise.
