Triple H appeared on ESPN MMA with Ariel Helwani this week and discussed Roman Reigns’ waiver from WrestleMania 36 with WWE universal champion Bill Goldberg because he didn’t feel comfortable fighting during the coronavirus pandemic given his health concerns after the leukemia battles.
Triple H noted that from a script standpoint, Reigns’ situation will be played out in a “unique way.”
“You can observe our activities in many different ways,” said Triple H. “One of them is the script and follow the script. Another way is the online component and the reality behind it. Roman has his situation and his reasons for doing the things he does, but I will say from our point of view and from the point of view of history, it will be played in a unique way and we want it to happen in this way. I don’t want to reveal the end of the film before the end of the film. Everyone just has to watch and see how it goes. It will be unique and I think it will be meaningful for everyone.
“There will always be criticism, it is our company’s mission to put smiles on people’s faces, and that is what we are trying to do in this situation at a time when people really need these smiles. It may not be the perfect product, but it is the product and it is what it is right now. “
