WWE Hall of Famer and pro wrestling legend Gerald Brisco is no longer in WWE.
The Wrestling Observer reports that Brisco was released in the recent wave of cuts. Brisco has worked with WWE since 1984 and has been a major talent recruiter for the company. He discovered Brock Lesnar and signed him for a development agreement. His screen role in promotion has been limited recently, but he was one of Vince McMahon’s lackeys during the Attitude era.
Brisco won the 24/7 WWE Championship last year at RAW Reunion after pinning Pat Patterson and losing him to Kelly Kelly. He had previously won the WWE Hardcore title twice.
