Westlife devastated as coronavirus forces them to cancel stadium visit

Westlife is devastated after the coronavirus forced them to cancel their next stadium tour.

The Irish boys’ group posted a statement on Twitter which read: “To all of our British fans – it is with great sadness that despite all the efforts, our shows scheduled for the UK in June and July must be canceled. “

Band member Nicky Byrne told Mirror Online that the safety of their fans is the most important thing to them.

He said: “The health, safety and enjoyment of all who attend our shows have always been of the utmost importance to us, we will all come back stronger than before and on the positive side it gives us all an additional year to get active. ”

Nicky and teammates Shane Filan, Kian Egan and Mark Feehily had a huge comeback success after meeting in 2018 for their 20th anniversary.

The guys were shocked to see their DVD The Twenty Tour – Live from Croke Park hit No1 in the DVD charts.

But they halted their celebration plans and returned to their families in Ireland while the coronavirus continues to spread.

“All promotional activities are suspended for the foreseeable future.

“This is a worrying time for everyone, so the group naturally wants to be at home with their families until it is safe to return to work. They are delighted with the success of the DVD, especially after the first album in November, but any big party would be insensitive.

“Shane, Nicky, Kian and Mark are incredibly grateful to the fans. “
