Tom Brady and Peyton Manning will have their careers tied forever as the heights of each respective career collided at the same time. The latest proof of this comes from a WEEI interview with former Patriots cornerback Ty Law, who was asked a question about Brady, but then launched into a funny story about Manning.
Law is asked if he said anything to Brady the first time he chose the quarterback in a match after Law was no longer in New England. He then begins to respond to what he said, but goes back to tell the radio hosts to explain how Manning would try to learn about Law’s playing style when the two were part of it. from the AFC Pro Bowl team.
While Law insists that it never worked on him, one has to wonder if this strategy worked for someone else. One of the best shifts of all time to offer a player as many drinks as they want is a tempting offer for someone.
The former New England defender finally turned around to answer the question of what he said to Brady after the first choice. Law said the quarterback called him and asked him what he saw.
“I said‘ Tom, I’ve been playing with you since I don’t know how long. I know your trends! ‘ Says Law. “First of all, what were you thinking about when you made this move that you made to try to throw this shit at me. That was the problem! “
He then explains what Brady did that made the choice so easy for him. This is a great clip for those who are interested in how half-corners learn to read quarterbacks.
Brady and Law were teammates of the Patriots together for five seasons from 2000-2004. During that time, the two won three Super Bowls together before the cornerback signed with the Jets in 2005, ending his decade-long tenure with New England.
