Tsitsipas shares too much information in Kyrgios’ birthday message

CANBERRA, Australia – Stefanos Tsitsipas sent his tennis companion Nick Kyrgios a special greeting for his 25th birthday. Unfortunately for Kyrgios, it contained too much information.

Tsitsipas, who is Greek, sent an Instagram message to Kyrgios, an Australian of Greek origin. In it, Tsitsipas held up a cardboard sign that said “Call me” and indicated a cell phone number. Those who hoped to put Tsitsipas online received a different message instead.

The phone has been turned off.

“You are an absolute idiot … everyone stops calling me !!!!! Kyrgios replied to his partner, sometimes in duplicate, in a publication on social networks.

Tsitsipas later went back to Instagram with another cardboard sign saying, “Stop calling Nick. “

The number has since been disconnected.

Professional tennis tours have been suspended due to the coronavirus pandemic.
