The plot was unsuccessful and Maldonado-Passage denied the charges against him and said he had been wrongfully convicted. He asked Trump for forgiveness, according to The Daily Beast.
When a reporter said on Wednesday that one of the president’s sons had joked about pressuring Trump to forgive the zoo keeper, Trump replied, “What son? It must be Don – what did he do? “
Donald Trump Jr. seemed to find the exchange between his father and the journalist “Hilarious. “
But the president said he was not very aware of Joe Exotic’s conviction, saying, “I don’t know. What is he 22 years old for? What did he do? “
The president then asked the reporter and the others present if he thought Joe Exotic should be pardoned.
“Are you on his side?” Do you recommend forgiveness? ” He asked. ” I will look. “
