For almost 90 million eligible US residents, the IRS has already sent bank accounts coronavirus payments up to $ 1,200 direct deposit. And the government agency posted first wave of paper checks, also, for those who qualify for a stimulus payment. But the federal government estimates that it can take 20 weeks to mail each check, and you want to know when the IRS can schedule your economic impact payment.

The Ways and Means Committee of the United States House of Representatives estimated that it could take up to 20 weeks for the IRS to send each check. Do not panic. How to track the status of your pacing control from the IRS

If you qualify for a payment, the IRS lets you track your money through its Get My Payment web portal. Due to the high demand, you may see a message that you must wait before you can access the site.

1. Go to the IRS Get My Payment page and press the blue Get my payment button to check the status of your economic impact payment.

2. On the next page on authorized use, press Okay.

3. Now, on the Get My Payment page, enter your Social Security Number (SSN) or Tax Identification Number (ITIN), date of birth, postal address, and postal or postal code. Tap Continue.

On the next page, the portal will display your payment status, whether it has been scheduled or if the service cannot yet determine your status. You don’t need to register to receive stimulus money

To receive the stimulus payment, you may have to file a tax return for 2018 or 2019 if you are normally required to do so. You can still do it now. here’s how.

Seniors, social security recipients, railway retirees and other beneficiaries who are generally not required to file tax returns will not need to file one to receive payment.

The agency will send a letter to the last known address of the taxpayer within 15 days of the payment being sent. The letter will contain information about when the payment was made and how to report to the IRS if you have not received your check.
