PARIS (Reuters) – French energy major Total announced Wednesday that it has won several solar power projects with a total capacity of around 135 megawatts (MW) in the latest French tender awarded by the CRE energy market regulator.
Total said the projects would be operated through its subsidiary Total Quadran.
The largest project in the lot is a 50 MW ground-based solar project on the site of the company’s former refinery in Valenciennes, in northeastern France. It is expected to be completed in 2022.
Another 25 MW capacity project, which should also be completed in 2022, will be built near its Grandpuits refinery in the Paris region.
