The Star Wars Black Series will include Beskar Mandalorian armor and more!
Celebrate Star Wars Hasbro fan appreciation day last week, Hasbro unveiled a new group of expansion figures in the Black Series range, including The Mandalorian in his Beskar armor, the iconic Admiral Ackbar and more! In addition to the bounty hunter portrayed by Pedro Pascal and the hero My Calamari from the original trilogy, the new line includes figures from Return of the Jedi Ewok Teebo, a charred variant of the legendary Boba Fett bounty hunter and a Stormtrooper, both now metallic in shine from their updated look.
After the stories of Jango and Boba Fett, another warrior emerges in the Star Wars universe. The Mandalorian takes place after the fall of the Empire and before the emergence of the First Order. We follow the adventures of a single shooter in the confines of the galaxy far from the authority of the New Republic.
Pedro Pascal (Kingsman: the golden circle) plays the role of a single Mandalorian hunter in the far reaches of the galaxy and is joined by Gina Carano (dead Pool) who plays Cara Dune, a former Rebel Shock Trooper, struggling to reintegrate into society. and Carl Weathers as Greef, a man who runs a bounty hunter guild who hires The Mandalorian for specific work.

The series also stars Giancarlo Esposito (breaking Bad), Emily Swallow (Supernatural), Carl Weathers (Predator), Omid Abtahi (American gods), Werner Herzog (Grizzly man) and Nick Nolte (Affliction). Michael Biehn (The Terminator, Aliens) was added to the cast of season 2, and Bill Burr will resume his character from Mayfield in the second season.

Jon Favreau is the show’s executive producer and showrunner, and directors of the first season included Dave Filoni (Star Wars: The Clone Wars, Star wars rebels), who directed the first episode, as well as Deborah Chow (Jessica Jones), Rick Famuyiwa (Dope), Bryce Dallas Howard (Solemates) and Taika Waititi (Thor: Ragnarok), who also provided the voice for the series’ IG-88 bounty hunter.
The Mandalorian is an executive produced by Jon Favreau, Dave Filoni, Kathleen Kennedy and Colin Wilson. Karen Gilchrist will be executive co-producer.
