The new iPhone SE would launch today at 11:00 am ET

The new iPhone SE (or iPhone 9, as it is often called) is launched today according to a major Chinese retailer. And if the assumption of a speaker is correct, the next iPhone will fall at 11 a.m.ET.

Suning announces that a new smartphone is arriving today. Front Page Tech Host and Apple Leaker Jon Prosser shared screenshots of the Chinese retailer’s website promoting “iPhone 9”. Shortly after, another ram Ben geskin has released a countdown video clip that will end at 11 a.m.ET / 8 a.m. PT.

The footage does not show or support Suning’s claim, but past rumors have indicated that today will be the next iPhone launch date. Several weeks ago, Prosser said on Twitter that April 15 is a likely launch date according to an internal Apple meeting.

A few days ago, Prosser also released a video in which he confirmed that the new iPhone SE will launch on April 15. Deliveries will begin a week later on April 22.

Another report released this morning by MacWorld suggests that Apple plans to reveal the iPhone 9 today, saying it “has never seen such a solid wave of [rumors] all pointing to a single period. “

Other rumors about the iPhone 9 suggest that it will sport a 4.7-inch screen, Apple’s latest A13 Bionic chip (found in the iPhone 11) and Touch ID unlocking biometric data instead from Face ID.

The revelation of the new iPhone SE could steal the show from the OnePlus 8 and OnePlus 8 Pro, which were just revealed yesterday as part of a live event.

If the iPhone 9 launches today, it will likely be early this morning or around noon. AND based on previous Apple announcements regarding non-keynote devices. That said, the company has not followed its exit regime as closely as we are used to, so we will have to wait and see.
