The location of all confirmed coronavirus cases in the Midlands

Nearly 12,000 cases of coronavirus have now been confirmed in the Midlands.

The region is the second hardest hit by the Covid-19 virus outside London.

There are now 7,656 cases in the West Midlands and 4,331 in the East Midlands.

In Coventry, nearly 400 people have contracted the virus, and 649 people in Warwickshire have also tested positive, according to official figures.

It brings the total to 1048 cases for the region on Tuesday, April 14, the last date for which figures are available, an increase of 29 the day before.
