Residents of Hull were left speechless on Sunday evening as they witnessed a streak of dazzling lights flying across the sky.

And if you missed them, the wonderful sight is likely to reappear in the next few days.

Although the mysterious lights have been preoccupied with a possible alien invasion, the clusters are actually a satellite formation known as Starlink.

Satellites are used around the world to provide remote locations with low-end Internet and are the latest to be launched by entrepreneur Elon Musk – SpaceX.

Composed of thousands of tiny satellites, the formations look like stars moving across the night sky – like a train.

And they may well become a relatively common sight in the sky over the UK in the future, as SpaceX received 12,000 satellites for the project – a number that could potentially reach 30,000.
