The brilliant vision of a Leeds United fan to make Elland Road a 50,000-seat stadium

Leeds United have taken up residence at Elland Road since its formation in 1919 and can accommodate 38,000 people.

For a city with a club like Leeds, it has been visited by locals for decades.

And even today, it is regularly packed as the club fights for promotion to the championship.

But for a team with such an audience, some have touted the need for a larger stadium to hold more fans.

It follows the same mantra that Tottenham adopted, building on White Hart Lane to complete an impressive stadium last year.

The field contained just over 36,000, but the new one can accommodate 62,000, making it one of the largest football stadiums in the Premier League.

And while not everyone is convinced that new terrain is the answer in Leeds, a fan has plotted a plot to expand the current configuration.

Fan of Leeds and Twitter user Chris Delaney describes a plan to maintain the qualities of the old and introduce the new.

“No need to move,” he tweeted. “1- Fill the SW +1 500 corner.

“2- Remove the” display boxes “from the South + 500 stand.

“3- Redesign West Stand + 10,000. About 50,000 seats – no need to move.

“Those who want to be won and eaten can go East / West – those who want to hurt themselves go to SS / Kop. “

What do you think of the proposals?
