Taylor Swift cancels all performances and appearances for the rest of the year due to the coronavirus pandemic.
“With many events around the world already canceled, and on the orders of health officials in an effort to keep fans safe and help prevent the spread of COVID-19, unfortunately the decision has been made to cancel all of Taylor Swift’s appearances and live performances this year. “Said the Swift representative in a statement released on Friday.
Among the canceled shows was a performance in July that would open the new Los Angeles SoFi stadium, the new home of the San Diego Chargers. Swift would have become the first woman to open an NFL stadium, according to the organizers.
The statement said that Swift’s shows in the United States and Brazil will take place next year, explaining that tickets for these shows “will be transferred to a new show date with no action from the ticket holders. The dates for Swift’s shows in 2021 will be announced this year.
Those requesting reimbursement for tickets purchased for shows at the American Lover Fest “will be available from May 1, subject to Ticketmaster conditions,” the statement said.
