Tarrant County adds 7th death and 58 new COVID-19 cases Friday – NBC 5 Dallas-Fort Worth


The Tarrant County health department confirms that another 58 people tested positive for COVID-19 on Friday, bringing the total number of cases in the county to 383.

The county also recorded their seventh death related to COVID-19, an adult from Fort Worth who had underlying health conditions. Death marks the third consecutive day of death in the city of Fort Worth after contracting the virus.

“We express our deepest sympathy to the family, and it is a grim reminder to everyone that we are witnessing an intensification of disease activity in our community,” said Vinny Taneja, director of public health on Friday. of Tarrant County, in a press release.

The county’s workload jumped 58 overnight, with significant earnings gains in Fort Worth (23) and Arlington (9) and lower earnings elsewhere in the county.
