With so many projects canceled or indefinitely deferred in the midst of our global pandemic, a spark of heat accompanies just about everything that makes will arrive to entertain our dry, sunless eyeballs. Well, count Space force, Steve Carell’s new comedy workplace and OfficeIs Greg Daniels, like one of them.

Despite having just announced In January, the Netflix comedy spawned by President Donald Trump’s desire to drop bombs even higher in the sky is primed and ready to be released next month. With this announcement comes a synopsis and a slew of first Photos preview.

But first, here’s a breakdown of the story

A decorated pilot dreaming of commanding the Air Force, four-star General Mark R. Naird (Steve Carell) is trapped when he finds himself hired to lead the newly formed sixth branch of the United States Armed Forces: the Space Force. Skeptical but devoted, Mark uproots his family and moves to a remote base in Colorado where he and a colorful team of scientists and “Spacemen” are instructed by the White House to put (again) American boots on the moon and reach total domination of space. Co-creators Carell and Greg Daniels (Office), SPACE FORCE is a new kind of workplace comedy, where the stakes are enormous and the ambitions even higher.
