Surrey Coronavirus: Map Shows Where Every COVID-19 Death Occurred in County

Currently, 185 coronavirus patients have died in hospitals in and around Surrey.

The latest figures released on Friday April 3 recorded several deaths in each of the five NHS trusts operating in the county.

The trusts operating in Surrey are Ashford and St Peter’s Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, Epsom and St Helier University Hospitals NHS Trust, Frimley Health NHS Foundation Trust and Royal Surrey County Hospital NHS Foundation Trust.

Surrey has six main hospitals including Ashford Hospital, East Surrey Hospital, Epsom Hospital, Frimley Park Hospital, Royal Surrey County Hospital and St Peter’s Hospital.

With the number of COVID-19 patient deaths increasing by the day, SurreyLive has put together a map that shows the number of deaths to date in each of Surrey’s five NHS trusts.

Some of the NHS trusts that operate hospitals in Surrey also operate hospitals outside the county, which means that it is not possible to know the exact number of deaths in Surrey itself.

The trust that manages Epsom Hospital also operates St Helier Hospital in Sutton, for example, and Frimley Health Trust also manages Wexham Park Hospital in Slough.

The watersheds on the map above are also not exact and are only an approximation.

In the UK, there were 3,605 deaths from coronavirus patients as of Friday April 3, an increase of 684 from the previous day.

As for confirmed cases, there are now 38,168 people in the UK who tested positive for the virus, including 649 in Surrey.
