Spurs and Arsenal could lose to Chelsea in Philippe Coutinho’s signature race, according to a Mirror report.
The Brazilian is a sought-after man this summer. It is widely expected that Bayern will not take its option to sign the Colombian star of Barcelona.
And with Barcelona looking to cut costs too, Coutinho seems to be on the right track. Latest reports say the former Liverpool man could be available for as little as £ 70 million. (Evening standard)
However, it seems that Chelsea have already taken the leap ahead of the Spurs and Arsenal. The Blues are already negotiating to win the midfielder.
It would, of course, be a blow to their North London rivals, who have both been credited with an interest in Coutinho.
Chelsea are looking to move into the market after lifting their transfer ban. After losing Eden Hazard last summer, Coutinho could, at his best, be the ideal replacement.

Chelsea will be linked to a multitude of players in the coming months. Given their updated transfer position, it makes sense that the best players are linked.
However, Coutinho, in particular, was a name with which they would always be linked. Despite its form for Barça and Bayern, it is simply too good to ignore.
It would be a nice signature too. Already tried in the Premier League and with a point to prove personally after his passage on the continent, he could well give Chelsea an additional dimension.
