A quick nap after a fast bike ride is the best way to ward off forgetfulness and dementia, according to Canadian researchers.

Neil Stanley, a sleep expert and author of a study at Concordia University in Montreal, said that an hour’s nap after exercise is enough to cause deep sleep, which helps in the formation of Memory.

There is a great deal of evidence linking both adequate sleep and exercise with better memory, but researchers are now saying that there is an added benefit of combining the two.

They studied 115 healthy volunteers in their twenties. One group was instructed to take a nap for one hour, another to pedal for 40 minutes on an exercise bike, and a third to do both. All three then
