Saved by the bell, Punky Brewster revives Peacock First Look trailers

NBCUniversal is advancing at full speed with the planned launch in July of its new streaming service Peacock, despite the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.

In fact, they would consider launching earlier to help satisfy the appetite of fans who currently spend much more time watching their television than before. The service is currently available for Comcast subscribers with Xfinity X1 and Xfinity Flex.

In the meantime, NBCU is making sure fans don’t forget them, and even started to vibrate on Wednesday night by launching a full list of trailers for their next line of original shows, including the highly anticipated covers of “Saved “By the Bell” and “Punky Brewster”.

Within 30 seconds of our return to Bayside High, A.C. Slater (Mario Lopez) was in great shape, bragging about his prowess with the ladies at the time as a gym teacher for a new generation of softer students. Elizabeth Berkley’s Jessie Spano is also the star, while other “Bell” alumni like Mark-Paul Gosselaar have already started signing up for support and guest spots.

John Michael Higgins seems to be a great addition as the new school principal, already frustrated by the “shelter and helpless” children under his watchful eye. The tone of the revival seems to be a little more mature than the original show, which was intended for young viewers. It’s a smart move, because most of these viewers are obviously adults now.

Speaking of growing up, Soleil Moon Frye made a nation love when it was just a little girl with a big “Punky power” in the original version of “Punky Brewster”, but things are very different these days . Now an adult woman and mother of three, the stories promise to be very different in this new version of the classic character.

But she still has part of that unpredictable, fun-loving spirit that made Punky such a delight, and made Soleil a child star in the 1980s. A new kid named Izzy (Quinn Copeland) reminds Punky their own foster care education. Cherie Johnson also returns as Punky’s best friend, Cherie.

Peacock has released a whole host of other teasers for fans, including the long-awaited movie “Psych 2: Lassie Come Home” as well as the third season of “AP Bio”, a new series “Madagascar” and new shows ” Brave New World “,” “The Capture” “,” Intelligence “and the character based on a real person” Angelyne “, with Emmy Rossum as you’ve never seen before.
