San Bernardino County now has 530 cases of coronavirus and 16 deaths


SAN BERNARDINO, California ( – The number of people infected with COVID-19 in the county of San Bernardino increased from 373 to 530 cases Monday evening.

According to the latest figures from the county COVID-19 dashboard, a total of 16 people died from the virus, 5,670 people were tested, of which 9.3% tested positive.

The number of confirmed cases in the High Desert increased from 35 to 60. The increases could be attributed to the test drive event held at the San Bernardino County Fairgrounds in Victorville on April 2. The count of health officials confirmed that 352 tests were administered during the event.

Hesperia experienced the largest increase in new cases from 9 to 18. Victorville City has doubled in number and is now at 20 cases.

  • Adelanto – 3
  • Apple Valley – 7
  • Barstow – 7
  • Hesperia – 18
  • Oak Hills – 2
  • Phelan – 1
  • Victorville – 20
  • Wrightwood – 1
  • Ft Irwin – 1

As of today, Fort Irwin has had no confirmed cases. The city of Yucaipa continues to have the highest number of positive cases with 77 followed closely by Fontana with 66 cases. 21 other cases attributed to “unknown”.
