The 40-year-old Brazilian was placed under house arrest Tuesday – after spending the past month locked up in Paraguay for allegedly using a really bad, fake passport.
As previously reported, Dinho and his brother traveled to Paraguay in March to promote a new book – but officials say they illegally entered the country. Big problem.
And, why false passports? The former FIFA World Cup All-Star reportedly had his Brazilian and Spanish passports confiscated in July 2019 for unpaid taxes.
Authorities raided the hotel where Ronaldinho and his brother lived, seized the passports, and threw them both in jail … where they have been since, until Tuesday.
The bond has been set at $ 1.6 million ($ 800,000 each) – which they can easily afford, given the FORTUNES they have contracted and their endorsement over the years.
Do not feel too bad for Ronaldhino, he could have remained active in prison … dominating in football matches in the playgrounds and would have win a pig trophy for its performance!
Ronaldinho and his brother are expected to remain under house arrest while an investigation into their alleged crimes continues.
In addition to playing for the Brazilian national team, Ronaldinho has also played for Paris Saint-Germain, Barcelona and A.C. Milan during his epic career.
