Andrew Marchand from New york post As of Friday, CBS was considering Charles Davis to replace Dan Fouts as an analyst for his No. 2 NFL team. The deal is now complete, Barry Jackson of Miami herald reports.
Davis is leaving the No. 2 FOX team. Davis will join Ian Eagle in the second CBS team.
CBS has added an additional playoff game in the extended format, which Eagle and Davis will broadcast.
Davis, 55, could also join the golf coverage of the network.
FOX now needs a replacement for Davis, who has teamed up with play-by-play man Kevin Burkhardt. FOX was interested in Greg Olsen as # 2 analyst for this season, but Olsen decided to pursue his career with the Seahawks.
Internal options include Chris Spielman, Ronde Barber, Mark Schlereth and Daryl Johnston, according to Jackson. Johnston previously held the position.
