Los Angeles prosecutors slapped incarcerated rapist Harvey Weinstein with a new sexual charge.

The dishonored film mogul, who is currently serving 23 years behind bars in New York, had already filed four counts of crime against him in Los Angeles in January, and authorities added one more to the list on Friday. .

The battery charge relates to an alleged incident in a Beverly Hills hotel in May 2010.

According to TMZ, the reported victim had already been questioned by detectives about the meeting in October, but only provided additional information to confirm that she did not fall outside the 10-year limitation period last month.

Weinstein was already facing allegations of forced rape, coerced oral sex, sexual penetration by force and coerced sexual violence by two women who claim that Weinstein attacked them during individual meetings in hotels in 2013.

If convicted, the producer, who is recovering from contracting COVID-19, faces up to 29 years in prison.

Before the chaos of the coronavirus pandemic, prosecutors had started Weinstein’s extradition process from New York to Los Angeles to respond to the charges.

The news emerges as authorities announced that two other cases involving sexual allegations against Weinstein had been dropped because the reported victims did not want to testify against the 68-year-old woman in court.
