The 54-year-old baker and show judge said the series could be returned quickly if restrictions are lifted in the coming weeks.
Channel 4 was scheduled to start recording the 11th series in the spring, with Matt Lucas replacing Sandi Toksvig as co-host of the show alongside Noel Fielding.
However, the recording was interrupted until the broadcaster deemed it safe to continue.
Asked if the show could return in August, Hollywood told Radio Times, “It depends on when the lock is lifted.
“If we can start, we could shoot the program fairly quickly and finish it in late summer or early fall. “
Hollywood expressed “surprise” at the change of hosts and lamented the news of Toksvig’s resignation.
He said, “It was a surprise and I was really upset. I really like Sandi. She has never been too busy to sit, chat and put the world in order.

Despite this, Hollywood has said it will adopt the new lineup and hopes that Little Britain star Matt Lucas will bring laughter and joy to the Bake Off tent.
Hollywood continued, “Matt is going to be amazing. I have been a big fan of Matt for many years and I look forward to meeting him. His humor makes me laugh out loud.
“I just hope Marjorie from the Little Britain fat club comes to the Bake Off tent because I think this character is fantastic. “
