Ottawa Public Health reports two new deaths from COVID-19 and 25 new cases


Ottawa Public Health reports 25 new COVID-19 cases in the city and two others who died after battling the virus.

Overall, the city has registered 370 positive cases of COVID-19, although 56 of these patients have since recovered.

Six people have now died in Ottawa due to the coronavirus, while 30 are still hospitalized – 14 in intensive care.

The public health agency says the virus was found in seven local facilities, including the Ottawa Hospital’s Civic Campus, the Ottawa Carleton Association for the Intellectually Handicapped, and five retirement homes or local long-term care.

As of Monday morning, there were a total of 4,347 cases of COVID-19 in Ontario, of which 1,624 were resolved and 132 deaths.
