NORTHAMPTON Saints signs an agreement to land the South African flanker Shaun Adendorff who played in France.

The 27-year-old had a few spells in Super Rugby with the Blue Bulls before traveling to France to play for Aurillac two years ago.

The former South African player from Sevens wanted to try playing in the Premiership.

Adendorff is in advanced talks with Saints about the move when his contract in France ends this summer and plans to put the pen on paper soon.

Prop Heffernan stays in England

NOTTINGHAM support Oisin Heffernan is back on the market after the championship team has encountered financial problems.

The former Irish international U20 who has PRO14 experience with Leinster is also qualified in English.

The 25-year-old, who spent eight weeks playing Queensland Premier Rugby with Bond University, had sparked interest among the Saracens.

But they have since signed Alec Clarey. Heffernan wants to stay in England, even if he has an interest in Ireland.

Connacht wants to take Heffernan home to Ireland where he has made three senior appearances for Leinster.
