North Shore Health Network Opens Assessment Sites in Blind River, Thessalon


Starting today, the North Shore Health Network (NSHN), in partnership with Algoma Public Health (APH), will begin operating COVID-19 assessment centers in Blind River and Thessalon, located near health services. of each site.

The NSHN COVID-19 Assessment Centers provide screening, assessment and, where appropriate, swabs for people in Echo Bay, Ontario. in Spanish, Ont. who have symptoms of COVID-19. The centers will operate seven days a week and are designed to minimize the number of patients who generally come to the emergency department.

The COVID-19 assessment center is accessible by appointment only. For security reasons, appointments without an appointment are strictly prohibited. All those who frequent the Center will not be stamped.

People with symptoms of COVID-19, including: fever, chills or weakness, new or worsening cough, sore throat, headache, muscle pain, extreme fatigue, runny nose and / or joint pain are encouraged to contact the assessment center by one of the following means: methods:
