A police tape was placed at one of the entrances to the North Point Mall while police are investigating exactly what happened.
There are several police vehicles on the scene and workers have arrived to assess and repair the damage.
In the center, it also looks like an area has been cordoned off with tape and cones.
Neither the shopping center nor the Humberside police have confirmed exactly what happened, but a passerby says it is about a raid attempt.
The man, who wished to remain anonymous, said: “I came around Sunday around 8 am because I wanted to use the cash machine.
“But I couldn’t get there because the police arrested me.
“The whole street was quiet and there was no one around.
“But it appears that the left side of the entrance was forced by a car.
“The intruders left the front bumper on the ground.
“The path from the pharmacist to the entrance was recorded and there were four police officers on the scene. “
A spokeswoman for the North Point shopping center confirmed that there had been an incident but insisted that the center reopen on Easter Monday.
