The number of COVID-19 cases in Sarnia-Lambton increased by 11 Sunday, the number of deaths remaining at seven.
Updated figures from Lambton Public Health at 9 a.m. showed 79 confirmed cases.
There were 28 hospital patients confirmed to be infected with the virus, 41 people self-isolating at home and three reported being cured.
Details of the 16 new confirmed cases reported over the weekend were not immediately available. Five other cases were reported on Saturday.
The number of confirmed cases in Lambton County rose to 79 in less than two weeks, with the first five cases reported on March 25.
As of Friday, there were 15 confirmed cases at the Landmark Village retirement home in Sarnia, nine residents and six employees.
Four of the seven deaths in the region are linked to the settlement.
