The total number of people who died from coronavirus in the UK has risen to almost 14,000.

The latest deaths of people recorded in the various countries of the United Kingdom show that the figures have increased by 861 again.

The NHS England has announced that in England in particular, 740 other people have unfortunately died after being tested positive for Covid-19.

Scotland today recorded 80 additional deaths, while Wales recorded 32 additional deaths and the total for Northern Ireland increased by 18.

This means that the overall UK total has increased to 13,828.

An NHS England statement said, “The patients were between 28 and 103 years old. 40 of 740 patients (aged 45 to 93) had no known underlying medical condition.

“Their families have been informed. “

Unfortunately, the total number of deaths from this virus will actually be much higher when you include those who have died in nursing homes and in communities.

The death toll rose again after several days of lower numbers, which experts warned should not be read too much.

Chief Medical Advisor Chris Whitty said at the Downing Street press conference last night that he expected to see a larger increase today, as there was likely to be a delay in reporting over the long bank holiday weekend.
