The NBA is looking to take desperate measures now that players cannot play any games.
According to Shams Charania of The Athletic, the NBA wants players to cut wages 50% from mid-term this month. Not surprisingly, the National Basketball Players Association is not going for that at all. They countered the proposal with a 25% reduction from mid-May.
The NBA has no idea when it can restart the season and at this point it may have to cancel it. If the virus continues to ravage the United States, we may not see any closures until a real vaccine is made available. However, the NBA has made proposals for the final stretch of the season, including a disputed post-season in a neutral location, preferably Las Vegas.
Stay tuned for updates on this situation as we will be sure to bring them to you.
