Teams hoping to add a point guard to the 2020 NBA Draft have just received two other options available. Theo Maledon of France and Ashton Hagans of Kentucky both wrote their names on Sunday.
Maledon, who averaged 7.1 points and 2.3 assists while playing for ASVEL in France, made his announcement on Instagram by writing:
“Thank you @asvel_basket for these 3 years, it will always feel right at home. Really happy to start this new journey ?? #staysafe ”
ESPN ranks the 6 foot 5 inch guard as overall prospect # 15. Tom Westerholm of MassLive places him 21st with the following analysis:

The Celtics have a lot of backups, so taking a relatively small upward selection does not seem entirely wise. ”
Maledon will be 19 in June.
Hagans, a 6-foot-3, 198-pound sophomore is currently a likely second-round pick as ESPN places him 49th. He averaged 11.5 points and 6.4 assists for Kentucky in 2019-20. He plans to sign with an agent so as not to return to the Wildcats. He made his announcement on Twitter:
