Welcome to Midnight Mania!
After weeks and weeks of failed plans, UFC 249 finally seems to be happening. UFC and Dana White are so confident the event will go off without a hitch – no calls from the Governor of Florida! – that they have already booked two other events within seven days of UFC 249.
At this point, it seems safe to say that the UFC can organize shows in early May. However, the question remains whether they can do so without endangering combatants, wedges, UFC personnel and medical workers?
White spoke to TMZ earlier today to alleviate these concerns and boost the popularity of the mega-event. “We’re going to have a glut of security,” said White. “We are always safe. When you look at mainstream businesses, mainstream businesses must now be concerned with health and safety in a way that they have never had before. That’s what we’ve been doing every week for 20 years. “
“This is nothing new to us … We will spend what it costs. We have some really smart people who have worked on this and we’re going to spend whatever it costs to make sure the fighters, their camps, the commission, the referees, our production crew and everyone are safe for this event. ”
White avoided the details, but he was adamant: “We will do everything and then we will go even further. “
Irene Aldana has hands! And, it seems, the elbows too!
Ovince Saint Preux versus Ben Rothwell is a wonderfully bad mix of powerful punches, strange weirds and tired guys.
Ion Cutelaba can’t get into the country, I am told, so a fight they are looking to add to this new May 13 card is OSP vs Rothwell in the heavyweights.

Tyron Woodley against New Zealand continues!
I sincerely apologize for offending you, I didn’t know you were serious. Honestly, I thought you knew your rap career was a joke. https://t.co/WOVXYrSJNk

… also on that note, it’s hard to watch.
Tag team MMA is probably the last thing we need right now, but it’s a ton of fun to watch!
No more footwork – this time with a movement of the head – from Dominick Cruz before his fight for the title Henry Cejudo:
Briefs, rips and KO clips
A great example to explain why Muay Thai teaches kicks to lead with the knee first!
Straight cuffs have a very low risk of losing a dominant position, and they can permanently break the arm. Underused!
Darren Till can laugh at himself:
Is it interesting for someone other than me? No? Never mind.
Midnight Music: I listened to a lot of Talking Heads today, which is not unusual for me.
Sleep well Maniacs! More martial arts madness is always on the way.
