When Archie Mountbatten-Windsor was born, his proud father, Prince Harry, himself recorded the birth.

Like any other newborn, the little royal received a birth certificate with details of when and where he was born, as well as information from his parents.

All birth certificates are a public record issue, which means fans can see it – and that revealed an interesting detail about her mom Meghan Markle.

He lists his job description as “Princess of the United Kingdom”.

But that left many fans scratching their heads, wondering why he was said to be princess when Meghan’s official title was Duchess.

While she received the title of Duchess of Sussex by the Queen on her wedding day, she is also technically a princess, but not in her own name.

She is Her Royal Highness Princess Henry of Wales through her husband, Harry.

The Duchess of Cambridge also registered the princess in the employment section of the Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis birth certificate form.

Some fans were also surprised to see the name listed as Rachel, many unaware that it was her real name.

But her parents Thomas Markle and Doria Ragland have called her Meghan since birth, and all her friends use her rather than Rachel.

It was also the name of his popular character in his successful dramatic costumes.

Harry is also listed under his real name – Henry – on Archie’s birth certificate.

The document also revealed where Archie was born, despite Meghan and Harry hoping to keep the information confidential.

Inside the Portland hospital, where Meghan gave birth

The Duchess gave birth at the Portland Private Hospital in Westminster – which costs around £ 20,000.

Portland is a celebrity favorite when it comes to maternity, with a whole list of A-list patients in the books.

It offers very luxurious options for expecting moms and new moms, including champagne and lobster.

Breaking from the royal tradition, the couple did not announce the birthplace of their son saying they wanted to keep the details of the birth confidential.

There was a lot of speculation that Meghan had given birth at home.
