Meghan Markle believed media favored Kate Middleton more than she did, friend says

Prince Harry and Meghan, Duchess of Sussex were so harassed by the media that they decided that royal life was not worth the harassment and decided that their only option was to leave everything behind. Constant media scrutiny has taken its toll, and a friend of Meghan says the Duchess thought the media was more favorable to Catherine, Duchess of Sussex than to her.

Prince Harry shared concerns about negative media

Prince Harry and Meghan both explained how harmful press attention had become when they spoke in interviews for their 2019 documentary Harry and Meghan: an African journey. Harry was very concerned, given the experience of his mother, Princess Diana, with the press, and expressed concern for the safety of his wife and son Archie.

“Part of this work, and part of all work, like everyone else,
means putting on a brave face and turning a cheek on a lot of things but
again, for me and for my wife, of course, there are a lot of things that hurt,
especially when most of this information is false, “he said.

Prince Harry added, “But all we need to do is focus on being real, and focus on being the people we are, and standing up for what we believe. I won’t be intimidated to play a game that killed my mother. ”

Have the media been nicer to Kate?

One of Meghan’s friends said the Duchess thought the royal family would have done more for her sister-in-law, had she faced the same level of negative media attention.

Meghan spoke about some of the painstaking examinations she had undergone during the documentary interview. “I never thought it would be easy, but I thought it would be fair, and this is the part that is really hard to reconcile,” said Meghan.

She never had this fair report and, according to her friend, the Duchess thought that if Kate had had to undergo the meticulous examination that she had, the royal family would have done more to protect her.

” [Meghan said] no one would have supported it, and the broken and obsolete system would have been overhauled, “the friend told the Daily Mail. “The outlets responsible for their vicious attacks were reportedly closed.”

Kate has never faced the same negativity that Meghan was against, but it is unclear if steps would have been taken by the royal family to stop her if she had been criticized as much as the Duchess of Sussex. “If Kate was criticized, no one would accept it,” said the insider, noting that Meghan thought the palace “favored” Kate and may therefore have applied media policies.

The insider further shared that what “irritated Meghan and Harry the most” was that if the media had constantly criticized and criticized Kate as they had done, changes in the king’s media policy would have been made. No questions asked. ”

The Sussexes acted themselves

After leaving the royal family, Prince Harry and Meghan could take action against the media as they see fit. They wrote letters to four British tabloids, essentially cutting them off with a policy of “non-corroboration and zero commitment” after treating Meghan so badly.

“Meghan said that Harry should take a stand for her, their son
and his mother, “said the source of their decision to boycott these outlets.
