McDonald’s published a recipe for its McMuffin sausage and egg after fans said they were missing breakfast after all British stores in the chain were closed due to a coronavirus.

Speaking to social media, hundreds of fast food fans have revealed that they desperately want to get their hands on the McMuffin, with many trying the creation themselves.

And while they can’t get their hands on the real thing, McDonald’s has put fans out of their misery by making the recipe public in an unprecedented step for the chain, which generally keeps its secrets well-kept.

In a recipe shared with FEMAIL, McDonald’s revealed that all you need is an English muffin, 75g of sausage meat, two eggs and a slice of American cheese.

To make a hash brown for the side, all you need is potato and olive oil.
