Widely regarded as one of the best high-end creative midfielders, Maddison has drawn a lot of attention and has now teased United fans on social media.
During a question and answer session on Instagram, the English international was asked to name the best player he played with, but could not reduce him to just one.
Instead, he listed five players with whom he played at club level and internationally – including two members of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s United team.
Harry Maguire, who played alongside Maddison in Leicester before moving to Old Trafford last summer, was one of United’s shortlisted players alongside Marcus Rashford – both being Maddison’s international teammates .
Leicester forward Jamie Vardy also played for another United goal in the form of Borussia Dortmund winger Jadon Sancho – again an international colleague from Maddison.
The last player named was Norwich City veteran Wes Hoolahan. Maddison played alongside Hoolahan before his transfer to Leicester City.
