Manchester United party hits the headlines as plan to lure Jadon Sancho to Old Trafford is “exposed”

Plan to use Greenwood, Martial and Rashford to lure Sancho

Ed Woodward will use Mason Greenwood, Anthony Martial and Marcus Rashford to lure Jadon Sancho to Manchester United this summer, according to the Evening Standard.

The report says that United’s executive vice president will sell Sancho the proposal to form one of the most exciting young front lines in world football alongside Greenwood, Martial and Rashford.

It is also alleged that the number seven jersey is waiting at Old Trafford that Sancho has been left vacant at the club since Alexis Sanchez’s departure for Inter on loan.

Sancho has scored 14 goals and 16 assists for Borussia Dortmund in the Bundesliga this season.

Callum Wilson opens on United transfer links

Callum Wilson admitted that his form this season was not good enough to justify previous reports linking him to a move to Manchester United.

The Bournemouth forward scored 14 goals in 30 Premier League games last season, suggesting he could sign for Chelsea in the January 2019 transfer window.

Wilson was also mentioned as a potential replacement for Romelu Lukaku last summer, but has now been honest about his 2019/20 form which has only seen him score eight times in the Premier League.

“Of course, it’s flattering, they’re big clubs, massive clubs in the league,” Wilson told Sky Sports.

“There were links and discussions but I am not the type to read newspapers or listen to too much news. But you hear it from people – friends, family – and it just really encourages me to do well.

“First and foremost is obviously to keep Bournemouth safe and I haven’t been good enough this season to even talk about things like that. I put it in mind and tried to focus on myself. “

Fred unveils his fitness regimen

Fred gave an overview of his fitness regimen while the Premier League season is suspended, undergoing online sessions with an emphasis on volume and intensity of work.

The Brazilian midfielder has played 25 Premier League games with United this season and is working hard to keep his place on the side even with practice and delayed matches.

“They keep the volume and the intensity quite high, so that he loses as little as possible in this lockdown,” Renato Pinheiro, a fitness expert who was to visit Fred last month to assess the player.

“We were about to organize our next sports biochemistry assessment for Fred and the week we were going to set our schedule, everything happened and all the championships were blocked and suspended, and now we have to wait. “
