Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp called Kylian Mbappe’s father for “two reasons”, according to Coutinho’s transfer chat statement

Why Klopp called Mbappe’s father

The French store Le10Sport claimed in a sensational way that the owner of Liverpool, Jurgen Klopp, had been in contact with the father of Kylian Mbappe in order to convince him to leave Paris Saint-Germain.

The 21-year-old, who has already won three Ligue 1 and World Cup titles, would suspect his options amid rumors that he was about to leave the French capital.

All the charges for the prolific young striker would surely be a world record, overshadowing Neymar’s £ 200m transfer to PSG, so it’s worth taking all the rumors with a pinch of salt.

Klopp is said to have called Mbappe for two reasons. These would include personally declaring Liverpool’s interest in the player and selling his son’s vision.

Coutinho would favor the return of Liverpool

The Barcelona-based sports daily reports that Philippe Coutinho has been in contact with Liverpool to discuss a return to Anfield.

The Brazilian’s future is in abeyance after suggestions that Bayern Munich will not make his current loan permanent, when it appears he has no future in his parent club, Barcelona.

It looks like a return to the Premier League is on the cards, with Everton, Leicester City, Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester United all linked.

How Liverpool could line up when football returns

There is still the big unknown when Liverpool play their next game, but when they do, Klopp should have a well-rested and healthy team at their disposal.

In the final weeks before all football was suspended and the country locked, Liverpool had spells with key men Jordan Henderson, Alisson and Andrew Robertson sidelined.

The Echo has taken a look at speculating on how Liverpool could line up without injury injury once football returns.

There’s also the question of whether the rest of the 2019-2020 campaign is fully canceled and a question about potential new signings – Timo Werner the most common – could potentially happen.
