Coronavirus put Lil xan at the hospital this weekend, not because he contracted it, but because he is very stressed by orders to stay at home.
The rapper told TMZ that he was transported to hospital by ambulance on Sunday while at his mother’s home in Corona, California. He’s in quarantine with her, and it was she who called 9-1-1 after seeing Xan hallucinate so badly that it freaked her out.
Xan says the doctors told him he suffered from a panic attack, but he doesn’t remember the episode much. As for what could have triggered him … he says he thinks it was caused by the anxiety he felt while he was locked inside.
He says he has been in and out of hospitals for anxiety problems for years, but it is the first time this has happened since the coronavirus pandemic hit … and it was the worst. Xan shunned the news to keep his head straight, but tells us that social media doesn’t help.
And yes, he was quarantined quite religiously too, only going out for the most part, like groceries.
One of the reasons why the crisis has weighed heavily on him could be being the breadwinner in his family. Like millions of Americans and almost all artists, he is unemployed right now. Her shows have all been canceled, including a festival in Canada.
Adding the insult to the injury, Xan says that the release of his album has been delayed and that he can’t even record now either – it’s hard to enter the studio because they aren’t essential.
To be sure, the 23-year-old feels the heat, professionally and personally. The good news is that he is on the verge of recovery from this latest attack.
