In Derby, there has been an increase of five cases in the past 24 hours to 456.
The wider county also saw another increase in confirmed coronavirus cases to 1,119. This is an increase of 19 cases from yesterday’s figures, which showed nearly 50 new cases in Derby and Derbyshire.
The figures come as it has been confirmed by NHS England that there have been 13 additional Covid-19 related deaths in hospitals in Derby and Burton.
The update means that 359 deaths have been recorded by Derby’s teaching hospitals and the Burton NHS Foundation Trust since the start of the pandemic.
One more person died at the Royal Chesterfield Hospital after contracting a coronavirus, bringing the total to 73 deaths.
According to Public Health England, 21,678 people died from coronavirus in the UK.
