Burger King, Pret A Manger and KFC have now reopened their branches – KFC says it expects more to reopen in the near future.
Pret and KFC offer delivery only while Burger King offers delivery and takeout.
KFC also has a reduced menu.
Burger King has announced the reopening of four restaurants: two in Bristol, one in Coventry and one in Swindon. All restaurants will have social distancing measures.
Katie Evans, director of marketing for Burger King, said she hoped the reopenings would go “in some way to cheer up our customers in these difficult times.”
Pret a Manger will reopen 10 workshop kitchens near London hospitals starting today.
“It also allows us to set up our supply chain to donate food to homeless charities, so we will be donating an additional 7,000 meals a week to our charitable homeless partners,” the chain said in a statement.
A KFC spokesperson said: “In the past week, we have reopened 11 of our restaurants in the UK. “

Supporting all front line NHS workers, KFC added: “There is still a need for affordable and accessible food right now – so we want to do our part. “
