Killer mike thinks Georgia jumped the gun with a reopening on Friday – potentially risking lives – so he does NOT rush to open the doors of his chain of hair salons. The rapper joined us on Tuesday on “TMZ Live” and told us that he was concerned about Georgia Gov. Brian KempThe plan on Friday plans to lift many of the state’s foreclosure restrictions, allowing barbers, salons, gyms and several other businesses to reopen. Killer Mike and his wife, Shay, owns a chain of hair salons in Atlanta, called The Swag Shop, but tells us that they choose to keep all locations closed. Although he sees strong incentives to reopen stores – businesses are there to make money – Mike says concerns over the health and safety of employees and customers outweigh business results . He also admits that race is a factor, because African Americans are very affected by COVID-19, and it’s the community it serves – so he doesn’t want to put anyone in danger by opening too early. Looks like Killer Mike thinks Dr. Anthony Fauci he is right when he says that lifting the restrictions too soon could backfire. Mike’s governors and mayors are hoping to get on the same page and come up with a better plan. So far, this has not happened in Georgia … where several mayors are vocally opposed to the movement of Governor Kemp. In the meantime, Mike has a message for the average American worker who thinks he might need to rush to get back to work.
