“I hope it rests in salmon fillets and tuna tartare in catnip paradise,” wrote Perry.
It’s a very sad day for Katy Perry, who mourns the death of her beloved cat, Kitty Purry.
The 35-year-old pop star revealed the heartbreaking news in an Instagram article on Sunday, April 18, writing that Purry had “finished his 9th night last” and had gone to “catnip heaven”.
“Kitty Purry crawled through my boyfriend’s window 15 years ago, fully pregnant and looking for shelter,” wrote Perry, who is currently pregnant with her first child. “Two litters and several moons later, this street cat has become an adorable mascot for many. “
The singer’s “Never Worn White” post included several photos of her hugging Purry and even one of Perry doing FaceTime with her beloved pet.
“Unfortunately, Kitty ended her 9th life last night. I hope she rests in salmon fillets and tuna tartare in catnip paradise, “she continued. “Kitty, thanks for the hugs and the company along the way.” Many thanks to my brother David and to @garethwalters for being excellent co-parents. “
Many celebrities responded to Perry’s Instagram post and shared their condolences for his loss, including reality star Kris Jenner, fashion designer Jeremy Scott and singer Sarah Hudson.
Over the years, Purry has become a celebrity in its own right, having appeared in its owner’s lyric video for “Roar” in 2013 and having been nominated for the best celebrity pet at the Teen Choice Awards in 2009.
