Kate Garraway shared a heartbreaking applause video for NHS caregivers this week as her husband battles coronavirus in the hospital.

The 52-year-old Good Morning Britain star took her two children to the front of their London home to thank front-line workers fighting to save Derek Draper.

The 52-year-old former labor counselor is currently fighting COVID-19 in intensive care – and Kate is not allowed to visit him due to strict rules regarding patients with coronavirus in hospitals.

Kate applauds and applauds with her nine-year-old son William and daughter, 13-year-old Darcey before becoming emotional and attracting young people for a group hug.

She captioned the video: “We had an extra special reason for #clapthecarers in our house tonight, but there is a special reason for all of us who are not here.

“Thank you to all the health workers who take care of our loved ones and to the key workers who continue our lives. You are incredible. “

Kate is currently isolated with the children after showing mild symptoms while her husband is fighting the virus in the hospital.

A representative for Kate said, “Kate’s husband Derek Draper has been taken to hospital and is being treated in intensive care with a confirmed case of COVID-19.

“He was admitted on Monday and has since tested positive for the virus.

“Kate has not been tested, but she also has mild symptoms, also since Monday, and has therefore been in strict isolation with her children at home. “

Kate Good Morning Britain co-star Piers Morgan, 55, has since contacted Twitter to offer support as Derek fought the deadly virus.

In a burst of love, he sent his prayers to Kate and Derek after the news was made public.

He wrote, “Now that it has been made public, I can say that this horrible situation has put the coronavirus crisis in our hearts. @GMB. My love and prayers to Kate and Derek. ”
