JUSTIN Timberlake paid tribute to his ex Britney Spears after she danced to his song Filthy and called him “genius.”
The 39-year-old SexyBack singer melted fans as he displayed a laughing face and several emojis at five under Britney’s clip on Instagram.
Fans of the former couple – who dated from 1999 to 2002 – couldn’t hold on after seeing Justin’s comment.
One of them wrote, “Omg !!!!! Can we just go back to 2000/2001! “
Another added, “This is the most legendary interaction. “
A third posted: “I’m no longer crazy about this quarantine! “
One user even compared the exchange to Brad Pitt and his ex-wife’s recent flirtations, writing, “It could be more than Brad and Jen’s return for me. “
Britney set fire to the Internet on Wednesday when she called Justin “genius” by dancing to her song Filthy despite the “biggest break in the world” 20 years ago.
Toxic’s “bored” singer wore a black lace choker, white denim shorts and a white crop top in the video.
She turned and shook her hips while sticking her tongue out at the camera making faces.
Britney congratulated his ex in legend to his nearly 24 million followers:
“This is my version of Snapchat or TikTok or whatever you’re supposed to do these days !!!!!
“As you can see, I’m not really dancing … I’m really bored. “
She then recognized the rupture heard in the world: “PS, I know that we had one of the biggest ruptures in the world 20 years ago …
“But hey man is a genius !!!! Great song JT !!!! Pssss if you KNOW WHAT IS GOOD !!!!!! ”She concluded the legend.

However, the couple split in 2002 amid allegations that she cheated Justin with choreographer Wade Robson.
Justin’s hit song, Cry Me a River, is highly speculated on their bitter breakup.
He revealed in 2002: “I was looked down upon. I was pissed off. The feelings I had were so strong that I had to write it down. “
He added, “I have translated my feelings into a form where people can listen and hopefully relate to it.
“People heard me and they understood it because we were all there. “
Britney and her ex met when they were children on the set of The Disney Channel series The New Mickey Mouse Club.
They were only 12 years old when they first appeared in the series in 1992 and remained on the cast until 1995.
Christina Aguilera, 39, and Ryan Gosling, 39, were also part of the Disney group, which has become household names.
