GRANTS PASS, Oregon. – Another person from Josephine County has tested positive for the new coronavirus, public health officials announced on Saturday morning, bringing the county’s total to 13.
Josephine County said it was informed of the new cases on Saturday through the Oregon Health Authority’s official medical records system.
Public health workers are currently investigating all cases to identify more contacts and potential exposures, to isolate and monitor those affected.
As of April 4, the county had received 415 tests, of which 13 returned positive.
Rather than disclosing identifying characteristics of the individual, southern Oregon public health officials preferred to use follow-up surveys to discreetly contact anyone who has been in close contact with the individual, followed by quarantine and symptom monitoring.
